Blowouts are a little more involved than a basic blow-dry. The critical distinction is that blow-drying dries the hair, but a blowout combines both drying and styling simultaneously. Without the use of a flat iron or curling iron, blowouts leave your hair appearing and feeling silky and glossy.

Because I recognized that blowout hair like salons are a luxury that I cannot always afford. Because appointments have become more difficult to schedule during this epidemic, I resolved to master the art of the at-home blowout finally.

My main worry was finding a technique to blow dry my hair without it taking almost an hour (due to the thickness of my hair, it typically takes a whole day to air dry), so I contacted a couple of stylists for their tips, tricks, and shortcuts for the quickest at-home blowout.

1. Towel dry hair

When you come out of the shower, the first thing you should do is towel dry your hair to absorb as much water as possible without over-drying it. “It is considerably simpler to control hair while it is wet,” experts say.

2. Applying a styling cream

Although it may appear difficult to believe, applying styling products can speed up the blow drying process. Styling creams give gloss to your hair, make blow-drying easier, and make your hair seem healthier.

3. Rough Dry hair

Begin by blow-drying your hair, focusing on the thickest hair towards the back of the head before sectioning it. You can go to the following stage after the hair on the back of your head is 80 percent dry, and the hair on the front of your head is no more than 70 percent dry.

4. Section your hair and start off

Because the hair on the front of your head is not as thick as the hair on the rear, you should always start drying from the front and work your way back. Then, for the back of your head, begin by drying the lower layers of hair so you may clip your damp hair out of the way.

5. Try a blow-drying hair

With each strand of hair, begin by drying the roots and then work your way to the ends. Hold the round brush in one hand beneath the part of hair you’re drying and the blow dryer in the other hand. Or, if you are uncomfortable using your hand, try a blow drying brush. By combining a blow dryer and a brush in one, blow-drying brushes make round brushing considerably more accessible — and decrease drying time in half.

6. Finish with a cold shot

A blast of cold air will help set the hair after all of your hard work blow-drying. Cool air gives shine and longevity to the style. Flip your hair over and use a cool low setting on the hairline and scalp to make sure your hair is 100 percent dry

7. Applying finishing products

Let your hair cool completely before touching it. Otherwise, you might end up causing static and frizz. “When the hair is completely cooled down, it’s safe to add some spray or finishing cream; as for extending the length of your blowout? The fewer products, the better so your hair can stay clean longer, but dry shampoo will help you go an extra day or two between shampoos.

Mastering how to blow out your hair at home is the ultimate achievement. Oh, you can also try these tips on any hair texture and types. Just make sure you do it in a right way and stay fabulous.
